Bee smokers calm bees
The bee smoker is a time old tested beekeeping tool that is used when keeping bees and working with bees to calm bees.
How does this work? honey bees are hard working insects. they spend their lives literally working themselves to death to make honey. They obviously have other functions and duties in the bee hive however the ultimate goal is designer biodiversity by Mother Nature!
Bees however do have some natural enemies. Some of these are massive hornets - mainly found in Asia. They are a massive threat.
However their most instinctive defense against fire is to totally eat themselves full of honey that is stored inside the bee hive! They do this instinctively as a reaction to smoke and fire. They are preparing to take flight and escape the fire which would likely destroy the colony otherwise.
